This was a lovely event at our church, that happened just after the major services. All the ministries were represented and everybody, was out and all over the ministry booths. It was a success as the ministry heads registered new members in their respective ministries.

Among the many ways we seek to make a difference in our community this year is through the building of a new sanctuary for the Lord. By building this church, we shall be investing in the Kingdom of God by creating a place where ministries can be nurtured and released for service. In this house of God, people will be saved and many restored.

We are working towards a fundraiser on Sunday 1^st April, 2012. That Sunday, we shall have one service running from 9 am to 12.

It is estimated that the total cost of the building is Ksh. 30 million that we hope to raise in three phases. On this first phase, we hope to raise Ksh.10million.

• Let’s come ready to give cheerfully towards this worthy course.
• Let us come ready to bring our pending pledges towards the building, or receipts of any deposits already made.
• Let’s come ready to give goodwill offerings towards the construction of the first phase of the building over and above previous pledges.

Please continue praying for effective planning and participation on the program. Pray for the building of the New Sanctuary. Pray that as we raise funds and pledge to give, that the Lord will provide. Pray for Unity of Purpose towards this Project.

Welcome to the The Ministry Fair 2012.

We therefore invite you this Sunday to come an interact with us in our Sunday Services and thereafter at the Ministry Fair.

Someone has said that prayer is essentially the time we spend conscious of being in the presence of God, and desiring to know and love Him more each time.
If we can see praying as not only something we set aside a particular time each day but as something we can do as we work, run, eat, converse and
wait for appointments then God will be our constant companion.
We then shall be able to turn to Him so easily when we most need Him in those most difficult and discerning moments.

Although we can pray at any time, there are two times that are very important in our Christian journey:

1. The first thing we do when we wake up. We commend ourselves into God’s care for the day and ask Him to teach us and show us what His will is for us; and to give us His grace to do it. We also thank God for the rest of the day.

2. The last thing we do at the end of the day. This is when we view the day, thanking God for it, confessing our failures and sins, forgiving any injury to us, and commending ourselves into His care for the night.

With this in Mind, Lets join forces together as we pray for our families, minister one to another, pray for the church of Jesus Christ, repent and ask for cleansing and pray for the nations of the world.

Invite a friend and purpose not to miss the prayer evenings. As 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, pray without ceasing.

“The Church is looking for better methods; God is looking for better men. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men…Men of prayer.” –E. M. Bounds

Father,

I abandon myself into your hands;  do with me what you will.

I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father. Amen.

Receive greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. This year, we have embarked on a journey to build a new sanctuary. As we go about engaging each other with finances, as we build a sanctuary for the Lord, here are some reflections to ponder:

The true concept of “making God a sanctuary” consists not as much in building institutionalised projects and religious empires for personal ambition of making fame as in building human lives not in the image of men but in the image of God. The Sanctuary is that which relates primarily with the heart more than with geography-physical building, or physical adornment of the body.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?…what, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,…ye are the temple of the living God…

I Cor.3:16; I Cor.6:19; II Cor.6:16.

Therefore, as we build, though we seek a physical building; our primary goal is to glorify God. We envision that the building will attract our neighbours to church, and in the process, many will come to the knowledge of the saving grace of God; bringing one more soul for Jesus!

In 1Kings 4:29 we see Solomon rewarded with wisdom. As a wise man, his immediate reaction is preparing to build a temple for the Lord! It is my prayer that we encourage each other in this endeavour, focus on the right attitude as to why we are building, and do the best – for the glory of God.

I went on search to be a leader,
Searching high and low above the meter,

I spoke with authority that I remember,
All would follow, all but one member,

“Why should I trust you?’ the one did ask,
“What have you done to achieve the task?”

I thought long and hard of what I did wrong,
Then I rolled up my sleeves and worked right along,

Shoulder to shoulder we got things done,
We worked side by side, all were one,

A mate of mine stumbled, I stooped to assist,
My hand he did grab, a smile did persist,

One was lost, didn’t know what to do,
I showed him how, the ropes, something new

I praised them one and all for their work,
All were unique, but I encouraged each quirk,

When the task was done, one did shout
“You’re a great leader!” they all turned about,

“Without you there to support our plight,
Lost would we be with no end in sight”,

I learned that day that I lead best,
When I get off my butt and help the rest,

To lead by example is the true treasure,

The truth is, every one of us is put in this world to contribute and make a difference to the world in our own unique way. It need not be anything out of the world. It just needs to be something you do with the intention of ‘doing good’.

It is our hope and prayer that this finds you well in the Lord. We are glad that you were able to Pray and Fast for the Last two weeks, For this we Say to you grace, peace and blessing’s to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Our fast will be culminating tomorrow in a Prayer and Fasting service in the Church Sanctuary as from 9am-4Pm, Kindly Plan to be there and invite a Friend!!!

I knelt to pray but not for long,
